What’s up! My name is Michael! I’m originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, and now call Chicago home.
Some of my friends would describe me as a golden retriever — highly energetic, always down for an adventure, and probably making friends with everyone along the way. When I’m not behind the camera, you can usually find me traveling, exploring somewhere new, golfing, running around Chicago, or hanging out with friends.
I've traveled around the world, visited nearly all 50 states, and no matter where I go, I've always been the friend with a camera — capturing the moments, people, and memories along the way.
I first picked up a camera back in middle school and never really put it down. What started as a hobby eventually grew into Michael Truong Media, where I now specialize in cinematic wedding films, wedding content creation, photography, and storytelling.
My approach is pretty simple: your wedding day should feel like your wedding day — not a production. I like to keep things relaxed, candid, and fun while capturing the moments you'll want to remember years from now.
Whether you're getting married in Chicago, back home in Michigan, somewhere across the country, or halfway around the world, I'm always down for the adventure.

I’m all about capturing the real moments — the laughs, emotions, chaos, and everything in between. The best memories usually happen when you're not thinking about the camera.
Trends come and go. My editing style focuses on creating timeless, natural memories that you'll still love looking back on years from now.
I'm here for a good time! I keep things relaxed, never take myself too seriously, and will probably end up feeling more like another friend at your wedding than the guy following you around with a camera.

WHY I DO THIS
Some of my favorite memories are moments I would've completely forgotten if someone hadn't captured them.
That's what I love about this work.
Wedding days move incredibly fast. The little reactions, conversations, laughs, and people surrounding you can easily become a blur. My job is to preserve those moments while letting you actually experience them.
No huge production. No forcing moments that aren't there. Just your people, your story, and your day — captured the way it felt.
